Hunton Road - Post 16 and Sixth Form



Number of Classrooms: Five (5) - These spaces are either used for small group or form1:1 teaching

Student capacity on the site: Up to Ten (10). The site is temporarily being used for post 16 while the Wood End site is being refurbished.

Class size: Small group sizes of no more than five (5) students.

Co-Education: The site accommodates both boys and girls

Mixed Ability: The site accommodates all ability ranges

Peer Interactions: Peer interactions are encouraged throughout the school day.

Curriculum: Each student has an individualised timetable which is agreed with them. They have access to all core subjects, all Humanities subjects, PE, ICT, Health and Social Care, PHSE, and the Careers Steps Programme
Academic progress is extremely important, however a strong focus of the work done is on building confidence so that students can access independent living skills.

Qualifications that students achieve: GCSE and Functional Skills

Access to Professionals: Speech and Language Therapist, Music Therapist, Life Skills Coach, Counsellors, Impartial Careers Advisor

Other Facilities:

  • Kitchen - all meals are cooked on site. Students are encouraged to have lunch together where they are taught to socialise and use social skills appropriately.
  • The medical room


There are CCTV cameras right around the school.

Car Parking:

Car parking space is very limited outside school sites and visitors are asked to take care when parking to ensure the safety of everyone arriving and departing. You are allowed to park along Hunton Road but parking can be a very ‘tight squeeze’. Please be mindful of our immediate neighbours ensuring that you are not blocking driveways.
