Qualifications: BA HONS Primary Education, NPQLL (National Professional Qualification for Leading Literacy), Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development.
Profile: Amber worked in a mainstream setting before deciding to dedicate her time to Special Educational Needs. She has worked at SHHS for 8 years, beginning as an English teacher for 3 years before becoming English Lead for a further 3 years and then recently being appointed as the schools Personal Development Coordinator and Careers lead.
Amber’s role promotes and seeks ways in which the school can help students gain positive life experiences both in and outside of the classroom and celebrates students personal achievements. Her role also supports students with their career exploration and development.
Additional Responsibilties: Personal Development Lead (including HoD PSHE), Careers, Designated Safeguardinbg Lead, Acting Head of English, Deputising for the Headteacher.
